The tests will be performed in two phases; phase one will be a series of lab tests that will test compliance, interpretability and performance of the test equipment. Phase two will be field tests. There are several advantages of performing the lab test;
Update: Currently only one vendor is participating in the experiment (Telebit communications). This means that the planed interpretability experiments in the lab has been put on hold. If more vendors express interest in participating, we will consider starting the experiment again. Telebit has agreed to lent out one IPv6 capable router to the field tests. For the lab test Telebit has allowed the group to use the Telebit testing facility. The test facility includes different IPv6 host implementations and several Telebit routers. Both experiment descriptions will be updated to reflect the situation outlined above.
