Router Requirements

The experiments are expected to place the following requirements on the routers:

• Internet Protocol, Version 6 (IPv6) Specification, RFC2460
• Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMPv6) for the Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) Specification, RFC 2463
• Neighbor Discovery for IP Version 6 (IPv6), RFC2461
• Transmission of IPv6 Packets over Ethernet Networks, RFC 2464
• IPv6 over Non-Broadcast Multiple Access (NBMA) networks, RFC 2491
• IPv6 over ATM Networks, RFC 2492
• Use of BGP-4 Multiprotocol Extensions for IPv6 Inter-Domain Routing, draft-ietf-idr-bgp4-ipv6-01.txt
• Multiprotocol Extensions for BGP-4, RFC 2283
