IPv6 Experiments

Welcome to the IPv6 experiment page. This page contains the information and work documents from the IPv6 group of the task force TF-TANT.

These pages will shortly be updated to include the transition from TF-TANT to TF-NGN, as Quantum expires and Geant comes into effect. The IPv6 testbed will be renamed from QTPv6 to GTPv6 as part of this transition.

The goal of this experiment is to provide the information needed to implement IPv6 connectivity as a service in the TEN-155 production network. The experiment consists of two parts:

• An outline on how to implement the IPv6 backbone, identifying the issues that need to be addressed. These issues are of both technical and logistic nature.
• A specification of the tests that will address the issues raised in the previous section.
